JOB SUMMARY: The Strategic Projects Specialist will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategic Projects and Think Together’s Program and Operations team to ensure that the organization’s key initiatives and priorities are coordinated and aligned with its long-term objectives. The Strategic Projects Specialist will support teams across the organization to ensure large-scale projects are carried out successfully and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that build Think Together’s capacity to achieve its mission.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate implementation of large-scale strategic projects by managing day to day activities including identifying project scope, forming teams, developing work plans, and tracking action items to ensure initiatives are implemented successfully.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Strategic Projects and other senior leaders to ensure coordination and integration of key organization-wide initiatives in support of Think Together’s mission.
• Support strategic decision-making through research, analysis and thought leadership.
• Develop or enhance systems, tools and processes that leverage and increase staff effectiveness and Think Together’s knowledge capital.
• Serve as liaison between Sr. Director, Strategic Projects staff and teams, as needed, to ensure routine administrative tasks as well as special initiatives are carried out on a timely basis.
• Prepare agendas, materials, record action items and conduct follow up for a variety of internal meetings as needed to move strategic projects and initiatives forward to successful completion.
• Draft high impact presentations, grant proposals and other written materials for internal and external audiences
• Cultivate relationships with community members, agency partners, funders, and other external stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a role requiring strategic planning, project management, research, and analytical problem solving.
• Experience in the education, nonprofit, and/or expanded learning field.
• Exceptional organization, time-management, communication, and analytical skills
• Demonstrable passion and commitment to working in the field of education.
• Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong internal and external relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to manage and lead teams’ members in support of project objectives.
• Self-motivated work style and willingness to proactively take on leadership roles within project teams and the organization.
• Ability to effectively train, coach and mentor junior staff and peers in project management skills.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary Range $70K-$75K

This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
