JOB SUMMARY:
The Print Center Assistant supports the daily operations of a high-volume print center, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient production of printed materials. This role operates and maintains digital print and finishing equipment, coordinates work orders, assists with quality control, and provides excellent service to internal and external customers. The Print Center Assistant works closely with the Print Center Lead to maintain productivity, quality, workflow efficiency and the Print Center overall.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production & Workflow
• Operate high-volume digital printers, copiers, and finishing equipment (e.g., binding, cutters, laminators, sorters).
• Assemble, package, and prepare printed materials for distribution.
• Process and fulfill print orders through Think Together’s online store, Think Mart and track job status.
• Assist the Print Center Lead in prioritizing and coordinating production schedules.
Quality Control
• Review and proof files for accuracy, formatting, and branding compliance.
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards.
Customer Service & Communication
• Respond promptly and professionally to staff and customer inquiries.
• Provide clear updates on order status, shipments, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a customer-focused, service-oriented environment.
Equipment & Supplies
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment; arrange service as needed.
• Monitor and maintain supplies of paper, toner, and finishing materials.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production workspace.
Teamwork & Adaptability
• Support teammates in completing large or urgent projects.
• Adapt quickly to new products, projects, and processes.
• Provide leadership support in the absence of the Print Center Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in print production, mailroom, or related office services preferred.
• Experience with Xerox or equivalent high-volume production equipment strongly preferred.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-volume digital printers and finishing equipment.
• Familiarity with paper stocks, finishing processes, and print workflows.
• Basic knowledge of digital file formats (PDF, Word; InDesign experience a plus).
• Microsoft Office skills (Word – min. 45 wpm; Excel – formulas and spreadsheets).
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Customer service mindset with ability to work in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Fast-paced, high-volume print production environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Regularly lifting up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and handling of paper and supplies.
• Requires close vision for reviewing files and print quality.
