
Talent Operations Lead

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Talent Operations Lead, you will partner with Area Leaders and Talent Acquisition Leadership to offer compliance and administration direction and support for all new hires throughout the organization. You will lead a dynamic team of Recruiter I’s, training, developing and coaching to ensure consistency in staffing and hiring practices to meet all compliance standards. Primary responsibilities in this role include overseeing pre-employment tests, candidate background checks, references as needed and meeting all compliance standards with all elements of candidate processing requirements. As a key area partner, the TA Operations Lead will also support with securing coverage for local hiring and community events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of Recruiter I’s to meet staffing needs for their respective focus areas.
- Train and develop Recruiter I’s to ensure they comply with processing, onboarding and general role requirements.
- Ensure Recruiter I’s follow established processing and screening guidelines to provide a superior candidate experience.
- Champion compliance within the talent team and program partners, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and organizational standards.
- Support with in-person processing as needed (PETs, Live Scanning, etc.).
- Address operational roadblocks, taking accountability for development and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with key TA and Human Resources leaders to streamline the hiring process and enhance the candidate experience.
- Maintain supervisory responsibilities effectively and on-time.
- Manage and approve Recruiter I timecards and ensure time-off requests comply with company policy and business needs.
- Ensures Recruiter I’s are properly updating all required administrative tools including staffing charts, supplemental staffing charts, Applicant Tracking Tools and recruiting reports.
- Oversees the sending, managing, and tracking surveys and survey results in respective areas.
- Attend in-person leadership and team meetings as required.
- Other leadership duties as assigned.
Onboarding, Training and Development
- Partner with Director of Talent Operations to lead training and development efforts for the Talent Acquisition and program teams as needed and/or requested.
- Identify areas of professional development within the Talent Operations team and pursue recommendations.
- Create and deliver onboarding plans and schedules for Recruiter I new hires (30-60-90 days).
- Foster a welcoming and informative orientation process, contributing to a positive initial experience for all new staff.
- Other onboarding, training and development duties as assigned.
Communication
- Maintain high levels of effective and collaborative communication between the Director of Talent Operations, Recruitment, Program and Operations teams.
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition Business Partners to identify hiring goals, priorities and support needed.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding candidate and staff information, including but not limited to, background check data and organizational matters.
- Attend and/or lead staff and department meetings with Talent Acquisition and program leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous leadership/management experience strongly preferred, particularly in a fast-paced operations or recruitment environment.
- High volume administrative experience preferred.
- 2-3 days in-person attendance weekly at Hub offices with additional days according to business needs.
- Travel required to different regional locations.
- Innovating user of Applicant Tracking System and ADP workforce preferred, or prior HRIS systems experience, is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with data management and various analytic tools.
- Must pass Live Scan (fingerprinting), Background Check, and Tuberculosis test.
- Two (2) year college degree or equivalent Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or customer service experience.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and coordinate activities between Program Departments and the Regional Hub office; and work cooperatively and collaboratively with regional and program staff to support staffing needs.
- Organizes work to ensure deadlines are met.
- Supports with communicating candidate status with hiring managers and any other essential parties.
- Attends staff, program and department meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in staffing or recruitment with a strong background in team leadership and training.
- Experience in managing hourly workforce strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to alter according to changes in projects or business needs.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to become Live Scan certified within 10 days of start date (Certification paid through Think Together).
- Strong organizational skills and relating data to business and operations metrics.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Organized, focused on details and able to change and adjust according to changes in projects or business needs.
- Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity with demonstrated experience and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Provides ongoing support to others as needed.
- Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Range $75,000-$78,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
