JOB SUMMARY:
The Executive Consultant to COO plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic agenda of the Program & Operations division. This high-impact position is responsible for conducting executive-level research and analysis, managing key strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment between enterprise priorities and operational execution. As a trusted thought partner to the COO and Chief of Staff, the Executive Consultant will provide data-driven insights, facilitate executive decision-making, and enhance organizational effectiveness through innovative problem-solving.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong strategic mindset, capable of influencing cross functional teams and driving meaningful change. This role requires an exceptional ability to anticipate challenges, analyze complex information, and develop solutions that align with Think Together’s long-term vision. The Executive Consultant will operate with a high degree of discretion, managing sensitive information and ensuring seamless execution of strategic priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Analysis & Executive Insights
• Lead in-depth research on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and best practices to inform executive decision-making.
• Synthesize internal and external data to identify strategic opportunities and recommend high impact initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that translate complex insights into clear, actionable strategies.
Leadership Team Engagement & Meeting Optimization
• Design and execute Program & Operations leadership team meetings and strategic offsites, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Develop structured agendas, curate discussion topics, and drive accountability through followups on key action items.
• Continuously enhance meeting effectiveness, fostering a culture of strategic alignment and operational excellence.
Strategic Communications & Executive Messaging
• Craft high-level executive communications, including presentations, reports, and key messaging that align with Think Together’s strategic vision.
• Ensure consistency and clarity in internal messaging across departments, working closely with the Chief of Staff and Director of Internal Communications.
• Serve as a bridge between executive leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring streamlined information flow and alignment.
Strategic Project Leadership & Execution
• Lead critical strategic projects on behalf of the COO and Chief of Staff, ensuring timely execution and impact measurement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
• Monitor and report on project outcomes, ensuring strategic alignment and continuous improvement.
• Strategic Vision & Analytical Acumen – Proven ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
• Leadership & Influence – Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and cross functional teams in a complex organizational environment.
• Exceptional Communication – Strong ability to craft compelling executive-level presentations and reports.
• Operational Excellence – Experience managing executive-level initiatives with a keen eye for detail and execution.
• Independent & Collaborative Approach – Self-starter who thrives in both independent and team oriented settings.
• Confidentiality & Discretion – Ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of leadership experience within the education, non-profit, or business sector, or 6+ years in consulting, strategic project management, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated success in executing high-stakes initiatives and driving organizational impact.
• Commitment to Think Together’s mission to change the odds for kids through educational partnerships.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) with a strong background in strategy and operations preferred.
• Experience working in a mission-driven, high-growth organization.
• Track record of developing executive-level strategic recommendations that influence decision making.
• Expertise in leveraging data analytics and insights to drive organizational effectiveness.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software products (including SharePoint and Teams)
• Expertise with managing Zoom meetings (host, waiting room, sharing slides, recording)
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with data, budgets, and reports
• Highly proficient at PowerPoint design
• Salesforce.com experience a plus
