JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP of Functional Excellence, this role works with the Technology teams and other key stakeholders to coordinate the management, control, and implementation of technology changes to align services to business goals and strategies. The Technology Change Specialist will contribute to the development and implementation of change control and adoption strategies and processes for technology service implementations. This role ensures proper documentation, testing, communication, implementation, and metrics throughout the change management lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops a deep understanding of the business processes and the opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Coordinates, implements, and supports the successful adoption of technology based, organizational changes.
• Provides support to teams implementing changes, assisting them in adhering to policy and procedures, and continual improvement principles.
• Communicates clearly and concisely with diverse audiences, both orally and in written form, and is comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
• Works closely with stakeholders, internal customers, and technology team members to ensure the success of change initiatives.
• Creates readiness plans that address various aspects such as communications, technical readiness, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and training.
• Manages and updates technical and operational readiness-related tasks that must be complete prior implementation, including such items as interfaces, queries or extracts, and reports.
• Partners with project and service teams to integrate change control activities into plans, promote the use of change enablement tools and processes, and drive change effectiveness while minimizing disruption.
• Monitors change readiness, adoption, and success metrics, working closely with the project team, sponsors, and business leaders to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
• Ensures completed documentation of requirements and supports the design and delivery of proper testing processes.
• Stays up to date on industry best practices and trends in change control and continual improvement, incorporating them as appropriate.
• Coordinates the establishment of SLAs and KPIs for systems and services, providing relevant data to stakeholders and executives.
• Identifies and resolves problems of varying complexity, conducting root cause analysis, and taking action to prevent recurring issues.
• Creates and maintains documentation, plans, templates, and reports, as well as effectively communicate plans to stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• Proven experience of 3+ years with continual improvement coordination in a large organization.
• Experience working on project teams and familiarity with project management principles and practices.
• Demonstratable experience and knowledge of change control principles, methodologies, metrics, and tools.
• Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Proven knowledge of computer systems, collaborative computing tools, re-engineering and process improvement techniques, information management, systems integration, and basic project finance.
• Ability to prepare and interpret architecture models, flowcharts, schedules, and step-bystep action plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Suite Products required.
• Must be able to take initiative and work without direct supervision.
BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS:
• Must pass Live Scan (Criminal Background Check via fingerprinting).
• Provide and maintain a clear TB test throughout employment.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Range $70,000-$75,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
