POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our staffing agency is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Interviewer with experience in education, early learning, and afterschool programming. This role involves conducting interviews, assessing qualifications, and selecting top candidates for educational positions, such as teachers, teaching assistants, early learning classrooms, and afterschool program staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the skills and qualities required for success in education roles, particularly in early learning and afterschool environments, and will play a critical role in building a high-quality team for our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interviewing and Candidate Assessment: Conduct thorough, structured interviews with prospective candidates to assess their qualifications, experience, and fit for a variety of educational, early learning, and afterschool program roles.
• Evaluation and Screening: Review resumes, applications, and interview responses to identify candidates’ strengths and suitability for specific roles. Conduct reference checks as needed.
• Job Matching: Use knowledge of educational, early learning, and afterschool program requirements to match qualified candidates with positions that align with their skills and experience.
• Collaborative Consultation: Work closely with hiring managers and program directors to understand the unique requirements of each position and recommend candidates accordingly.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of candidate interactions, evaluations, and interview feedback within the applicant tracking system to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Process Improvement: Assist in developing interview questions and assessment tools specific to educational, early learning, and afterschool settings to improve candidate evaluation accuracy.
• Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and local regulations in education, early learning, and afterschool programming to enhance the recruitment process and ensure a strong candidate pool.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in educational settings, afterschool programs, early learning, or a similar environment is strongly preferred.
• Recruitment Skills: Prior experience in recruitment, interviewing, or staffing is highly beneficial, especially with a focus on educational roles.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with an ability to build rapport with candidates.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail when assessing candidate qualifications and maintaining documentation.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting software, or HR management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Education Standards: Understanding of local and state requirements for educational and afterschool program roles (e.g., certification, background checks) is preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong proficiency in the use of Excel, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional skills with MS Excel, data organization, and MS PowerPoint presentation.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This role is remote.
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
• Must pass a TB Test
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Range $70,000 - $75,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
