JOB SUMMARY:
Think Together’s Substitute Credentialed Teachers may work and receive assignments based on availability. Substitute Credentialed Teachers are designed to deliver the required academic and enrichment activities, while relieving teachers from their classroom to attend either Data Reflection or Professional Development sessions and/or any meetings or trainings as required by the school or district. You will oversee the daily activities and structure of the program serving in a 3–4-person team that will work closely with 20-25 students per team member combined. In collaboration with the Lead Credentialed Teacher, together you will develop benchmarks, agendas, and trainings to ensure all customers’ needs are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide academic and enrichment activities and/or content in order to meet minimum education minute/time requirement as indicated by the California Department of Education.
• Provide coaching and guidance to Program Leaders (non-credentialed teachers.)
• Work closely with other members of the team to discuss and coordinate activities that will reinforce physical education activities and provide students with additional time to practice and build upon existing as well as newly acquired skills.
• Work in cooperation with the Program Leaders to ensure a positive student experience.
• Complete, record and manage attendance, assessment and other records as needed.
• Work closely with the program supervisor, Lead Credentialed Teacher, to ensure that contract compliances and deliverables are being met.
• Communicate with school administrators and school staff on a regular basis regarding program activities.
• Supervise, train, and develop subordinates in line with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization. Complete supervisory responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner.
• Attend meetings as needed to support continuous improvement of the program.
• Manage other duties as assigned.
• Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in student, staff, and management matters.
• Teachers are responsible for instructing students in grades TK-6th, creating lesson plans, differentiating instruction, and evaluating student assessment data regularly to assess progress.
• Implement teaching methods, ideas, and strategies to increase the development of the child's cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities while building fun and educational habits.
• Communicate with parents regularly to maintain the balance between the child's emotional and physical stability and growth.
• Collaborate with other teachers (e.g., in class discussions or parent-teacher conferences)
• Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
• Develop an appropriate curriculum based on the child's abilities as well as his or her background information.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
• Valid and clear teaching credential issued by the State of California that allows one substitute of multiple subjects in an elementary school setting.
• Approval of school district that credential meets local requirements.
• Currently an employee of the school district or clear DOJ and FBI fingerprints through THINK Together and proof of negative TB test.
• CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (30-day emergency credentialed accepted)
• CBEST, CSET, RICA passed test results preferred (In progress accepted)
• 0 -2 years of proven experience in the education industry.

OTHER SKILLS:
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others.
• Excellent organizational and management skills.
