JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President Technology Functional Excellence, the Senior Project Manager Technology Projects (SPMTP) is responsible for overseeing the Technology department’s project management framework including creating, implementing, maintaining, and refining all Technology Portfolio, Program and Project methods and processes. The SPMTP oversees the Technology Projects teams as they deliver key project management activities that are aligned with organizational goals. The SPMT will also be a hands-on project Manager themselves and will be expected to continuously have accountability as PM for one or more Projects to allow for ground level awareness of how project methods and techniques are being adopted – an architect and a builder. As the leader of the Technology Projects capabilities, the SPMTP partners with the Think leadership to help achieve impact objectives and annual organizationwide goals set by the executive team and board of directors.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Technology Portfolio, Program and Projects Oversight: Establish and maintain standardized portfolio, program and project management processes, governance procedures, templates, and best practices ensuring consistency across projects. Ensure project managers are appropriately resourced for all projects. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects. Facilitate effective communication among project teams, stakeholders and senior executives and ensure the team keeps all informed about project statuses, changes, and decisions. Regularly assess project management processes and identify areas for improvement. Drive continuous enhancement of project management practices.
• Technology Projects execution: In addition to Methodology oversight - the SPMT will be a hands-on project Manager and will be expected to continuously have accountability as PM for one or more Projects to allow for ground level awareness of how project methods and techniques are being adopted – and architect and a builder.
• Internal Communications: Design and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for the portfolio of projects and the plan to implement formal project methodologies across all of Think Together’s with the goal of increasing awareness and engagement between all of Think Together’s stakeholders.
• People Management: Build, lead and maintain a team of exceptional project manager capabilities ensuring that the needs of all stakeholder departments are met. Ensure department staff are trained and educate staff on project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proven experience building and leading strong Technology project teams with a focus on delivering value from successful Technology projects with outstanding stakeholder engagement, robust change management, operational excellence, and operationalizing technology project execution best practices.
• Strong creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and Technology enabler planning skills, including the ability to disaggregate problems and structure complex issues.
• Exceptional collaboration and influence skills, demonstrating an ability to navigate organizational relationships, incorporate differing perspectives, develop recommendations, and generate consensus with partners across teams.
• Impeccable communication, with the ability to distill and convey information in a compelling manner across a wide range of formats (Teams, email, PPT, talking points, etc.) to diverse audiences (staff, board members, partners, and other stakeholders).
• A diplomatic leader who demonstrates good judgement, exercises discretion, and maintains confidentiality in all circumstances.
• Commitment to Think Together’s vision and mission to partner with schools to change the odds for kids.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s degree in business, analytics, or related field.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in a role requiring Technology planning, project management, research and analytical problem solving.
• 7+ years in a similar scope leadership role, with progressive experience in non-profit or education preferred.
• Ability to speak and write in a language other than English, Spanish preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software products (including SharePoint and Teams).
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with data, budgets, and reports.
• Comfortable using project management software and tools (ie Asana, MS Project)
• Highly proficient with PowerPoint design.
 

COMPENSATION: 

Salary Range $170,000-$180,000 

This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
