JOB SUMMARY:
Role will lead significant functional transformation of the Think Together Technology organization. The central tenet for the services organization will be a shift from adhoc on-demand commodity services to a leveraged Platform services model focused on value pursuit and incorporating both platform technology sustainment and key stakeholder engagement (Business Partnering). This leveraged services and business partnering model will incorporate service Platform leaders for:
• Decision Support Services (BI)
• Financial Application Services (ERP),
• Human Capital Application Services (HCM)
• Employee Productivity Services (M365, Desktop, mobility)
• Technology Infrastructure Services

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Director, Decision Support Services is responsible for establishing and managing a program focused on data models, data environments and information harvesting technologies that enable the organization to make quality decisions for business success. This position has accountability for the end-to-end service delivery model for all data environments, business products and business intelligence or insights software and systems that drive decision support across all of Think Together.
The Director, Decision Support Services position requires an influential leader to lead through the organization wide services strategy and data and technology enablement transformation. In particular, the role will focus on driving business results by leveraging technology investments to create value within the business. This role will lead the strategy, budget and service level agreements for the decision support systems model.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop the specific metrics for the service category; used to monitor existing SLA’s and advancement of the Decision Support services model to the agreed strategies. This will incorporate analysis of the existing services from an ITIL services model perspective and development of a plan to execute the transition of service enablement to the strategic objectives (order taking to self service provisioning, many local to regional or leveraged, on premise to cloud, custom solution to off the shelf, insource to outsource, outsource to insource etc.)
• Develop a Decision Support Service function, data and solution architecture; As the Leader for Decision Support Service, this individual will translate strategic requirements into an enterprise information architecture to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio. Accountable for developing the information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, applying accepted data content standards to technology projects. Will anticipate events within the organization and optimize business intelligence and data warehousing tools to enable a data driven, analytical and performance aware environment.
• Implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise business intelligence program; The Director, Decision Support Services is the Leader of all business intelligence software and related services. Will be accountable for developing an approach to ensure that quality information is best discovered, maintained and reported to the organization while balancing the need for access against security and performance requirements. Will work with the business units and key stakeholders to determine data requirements and the best way to deliver, maintain and optimize solutions. A key part will be liaising with the business applications, technology infrastructure and employee productivity teams, as well as the rest of the IT team as required. Will also ensure the design, maintenance and implementation of database management systems provides the organization with quality methods of data storage and controlled access to data. Ultimately, the Director, Decision Support Services is an expert in data intelligence technologies and how they can best be leveraged within an organization
• Develop relationships with internal partners; Will develop strong team relationships with all the BP&S leadership team, meaning their peer servicecategory owners, the three business partners and the IT functional excellence leaders as well as the CDO.
• Manage external partners; Will lead the use of external resources as required to develop the business intelligence program. This will include interviewing, managing external partnerships and negotiating and monitoring contracts.
• Build a strong Decision Support Systems team; Will design, develop and manage the enterprise's business intelligence organization, consisting of direct reports and indirect reports (such as individuals in data mining and data warehousing). This will include hiring, training, developing, performance management and conducting annual performance reviews. Will be a thought leader, a consensus builder and an integrator of people and processes. Will lead a geographically dispersed team and motivate the team and develop this group into a fully integrated organization capable of being a real player in a multinational organization.

Education and Experience:
• An undergraduate degree preferably in a discipline related to information technology or business. Additional technology education and a graduate level degree is highly desired.
• Must be able to provide leadership across a team of information technology professionals.
• Demonstrated competency behaviors and success in the field of business intelligence with four (4) to eight (8) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years in a significant leadership role.
• Must have experience and knowledge of implementing modern delineated sourcing strategies for application services such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS in an internationally leveraged operating model.
• Demonstrated experience in virtualization, visualization and decision support self service based approaches.

Competency Qualifications:
• Results orientation. This candidate will bring strong delivery skills as evidenced by the ability, determination and tenacity to move major initiatives forward, injecting pace and focus, while consistently thinking of the bottom-line impact of the efforts. This includes a history of having set stretch targets and moved teams forward to gain traction and deliver on them successfully, showing the ability to achieve results through people.
• Change management, collaboration and influencing skills. The candidate must be confident, with the ability to work across an organization to influence others and build commitment to a recommended direction while managing multiple internal and external stakeholders. This role will motivate others to act upon opportunities, creating an environment that encourages prudent risk taking and sharing of best practices. The candidate must be a strong communicator and will possess a strong, yet tactful approach and a collaborative style with the ability to work with all levels in the organization. The role will also bring experience in managing external IT partners and vendors, with strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Team-oriented leadership. The successful candidate must be a hands-on, roll-upthe-sleeve IT executive with a track record of structuring effective teams and then leading and mentoring them to achieve improved levels of performance. The role must be able to establish credibility quickly both within their own team and with the broader employee group. They will be an adept team player who fosters an environment of collaboration and is prepared to take decisions and act quickly and who is able to instil this philosophy and style within their direct team.
 
Salary: $180,000k-$195,000/yr
